ClinER-Electronic Medical (Patient) Record (EMR, EPR)

The exact details of your past medical history by all physicians, whatever you are a healthy adult or a chronic patient. EMR or EPRs is a new service we offer that can ensure our subscribers always receive the most accurate and appropriate assessment. In the UK, medical records are stored with GPs and are retrieved when advice or treatment is being requested. Certainly, patients are the first to know if anything is wrong with their health and also the first to discuss a cure for a current problem. In many circumstances though, your medical history, which means medical conditions you have suffered at the past, ongoing treatment(s), diseases that have affected your family and a lot more, may be urgently required for review by a specialist. This can happen either because you're unconscious due to a car accident, or simply because you cannot describe your medical history in proper and correct terms to a physician while taking a holiday abroad.

Whatever the reason is, ClinER is the right solution. It will be your personal medical history written in the most accurate format, which belongs to you and is always with you. A smart software is used to decode all your health status information (past or current conditions, treatments, allergies, contact details of your relatives etc.) In the format of both a mini-CD or dongle and a mini-booklet. It is practically a “medical GPS” that is extremely important in case of a medical emergency or also a permanent record of changes in your health history.

You may now ask whether it is safe to have your medical history record formatted by an external provider. Are there are any risks associated with ClinER, like passing personal information either to the authorities (health and other) or even to life and health insurance providers? Clinicheck has put particular attention and efforts to face these sensitive issues and has in place a procedure that ensures full compliance with the existing recommendations of the Royal College of General Practitioners on EMRs. Moreover, a secured anonymity process in the generation, dispatch and handling of the EMR information, has been implemented.

How it works: If you wish to have your EMR prepared, you phone us and we post back a ClinER scratch card together with a questionnaire. ClinER scratch card has a 12 digit alphanumerical code, revealed only after being scratched. You reveal your code, so you are the only one to know to whom these 12 digits correspond to. The next step is to tell us your code (we do not ask your personal details except for age and sex) and have the EMR questionnaire completed. This can be done in two ways: Either you let your GP to go through the questionnaire and then post it to us, or yourself may wish to complete the questionnaire, provided you know all important details that need to be listed.

Your ClinER CD and hard copy will reach your address within 48hours.

A hard copy of the EMR + a mini CD can be read and processed by any physician or hospital worldwide, through an ordinary computer. We do not encourage nor provide access to your medical history file via the internet. A plastic case to accommodate your passport, the CD and the EMR hard copy, is also provided. In case you are unable to handle it over to health authorities, it can easily be found in your belongings, if an emergency arises.

The ClinER scratch card can also be used for anonymous blood testing (BioCheck or BioCheck-Plus). ClinER facility has been broadcasted to all health authorities worldwide (hospitals, physicians) therefore, you would expect local healthcare providers to be aware on the existence of personal ClinER.

Payment is forwarded either directly into our bank account quoting the ClinER card 12-digit reference number, or via cheque. In case anonymity is not a matter that bothers you a lot, we do accept payment through all major credit and debit cards.
